Lieutenant Colonel Kathleen Pennington, Commander, Chicago Recruiting Battalion, will be the featured speaker and will recognize veterans who have served in all conflicts. The formal ceremony and address will take about thirty minutes and will be followed by refreshments and the cutting of the Army birthday cake. All members of the community are invited to join for this observance, regardless of age.

For those who are members or are interested in joining, there will be a short meeting of the Chicago-Ft. Sheridan Chapter of the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) immediately following the festivities.
